HR services in a company or in a firm

There are two main opportunities for human resources professionals. Two thirds of them work for companies or administrations. They can manage human resources responsibility alone or be part of a team if the company is large (and therefore has significant human capital).

In a company, HR services represent on average 3.6% of the payroll. The last third is oriented towards independent firms, which are called upon occasionally or more permanently by companies for recruitment, training or consultancy assignments. There are more than a thousand firms in France. Whether they are generalists or specialists, they must know how to manage their human capital (made available to their client companies) with a masterful hand.

The job requires a higher education diploma, ranging from Bac + 2 to Bac + 5. As the field of human resources is broad, training covers various disciplines such as management, psychology, employment law, legal matters, etc.
